Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) in Canada

Post-Graduation Work Permit in Canada (PGWP)
Before planning to work in Canada after your studies, it is important to understand that not all institutions and not all programs make you eligible for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP).

PGWP Eligibility Depends on Your Institution
To qualify for a PGWP, you must graduate from a PGWP-eligible Designated Learning Institution (DLI). Even if the institution is a DLI, not every program within that institution will qualify you.

Other PGWP Requirements
In addition to studying at an eligible institution, you must meet all other requirements such as maintaining full-time student status, completing an eligible program, and holding a valid study permit.

How to Check If Your School Is Eligible
Use the official Government of Canada link below to check whether your designated learning institution offers programs that make you eligible for a post-graduation work permit.

Choosing the right program and institution is essential for any student who plans to gain work experience or pursue permanent residency in Canada.
